Founded by Barbara Edwards, MIG LLC is built on values of integrity, stewardship, and a strong Midwestern work ethic learned on her family’s century-old Kansas farm. Named in honor of Barbara’s mother, Mildred Irene Glynn, the firm reflects the
commitment to family, faith, and hard work that Barbara grew up with and still treasures today. Our team combines decades
of experience and unique talents to provide comprehensive accounting and tax services for individuals and small businesses. Jeff is our numbers expert, known for his precise attention to detail and deep knowledge of tax preparation and business accounting. Braiden shares
that same meticulous approach, applying it to streamlining client financial records and ensuring accurate reporting. Outside the office, both Jeff and Braiden have a passion for sports—bringing that same focus, discipline, and team mindset into the way they serve our clients. At MIG, we work closely together, combining our expertise to deliver the most accurate, efficient, and personalized financial solutions possible.

Barbara Edwards
Founder of MIG LLC
In 2016, Barbara took on the leadership of MIG following the sudden loss of her mentor, Dal Livengood. She named the firm after her mother, Mildred Irene Glynn, honoring the ideals of faith and family that shaped her life.

Barbara was raised on her family’s century-old Kansas farm, where she learned the values of integrity, hard work, and faith. Her grandmother's journey through Ellis Island and her parents' dedication to wheat farming left a lasting impact, inspiring Barbara’s commitment to family and community. Married to her loving and supportive husband, Tim, for 31 years, Barbara carries these same values into every aspect of her life. After an initial path in music education, she found her calling in business, eventually working in accounting alongside a team she describes as family.

Jennifer Hess

Jennifer brings a refreshing, approachable, and optimistic spirit to MIG. With a deep passion for guiding small businesses and individuals in navigating the complexities of tax, accounting, and business development, Jennifer joined the family firm to bring clarity, support, and peace of mind to clients at every stage. After 25 years as a clinical therapist specializing in trauma, growth mindset, relationship healing, and career and business development, she shifted careers, blending her deep commitment to service and problem-solving skills with her expertise in financial strategy.
Jennifer’s engaging and big-hearted personality shines through in her work, where she breaks down financial and business development topics into relatable, easy-to-understand advice that offers clients genuine support and peace of mind. Jennifer is a Ph.D. candidate and a proud Kansas City native who loves connecting with and helping her community build and thrive with a sense of partnership and trust. She is dedicated to building and maintaining MIG LLC on a foundation of integrity, service, and excellence. Outside work, you’ll find Jennifer loving her furry doggies, Rudy and Clifford, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, supporting local events, and enjoying time with her husband and son, and so many family and friends she loves dearly.

Braiden Turner
Accountant, Marketing and New Client Specialist
Braiden is known for his precision and thoroughness in every project and approaches every task with a friendly, compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help clients and the community thrive.

Braiden, part of the third generation at MIG, brings a vibrant energy and a sharp eye for detail to the family business. With a bachelor’s degree in business and years of hands-on experience, Braiden leads our marketing team and excels in strategic business finances and tax work.
When he’s not supporting MIG’s clients, Braiden dives into sports through Twitter and his podcast, Ain’t No Seats, where he shares his love for all things sports, Kansas University athletics, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Kansas City Royals. He is known for his spot-on impressions—especially of KU men’s basketball coach Bill Self. Braiden loves the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals and has had a lifelong passion for sports stats, like Jeff, so you will find them bonding over athlete and game analysis.
Braiden’s warmth and drive make him crucial to MIG’s commitment to excellence and community.

Jeff Ihde
Senior Accountant and Business Consultant
Jeff’s commitment to his clients shines through in his approach to providing tailored business consultations that adapt to their evolving needs.

Jeff joined MIG in 1995 after earning a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Business from the University of Kansas in 1990 and spending several years with another firm. With over 25 years of experience, Jeff brings a wealth of expertise in income tax, accounting, and payroll tax services.
Jeff is also a passionate sports fan, cheering on KU athletics, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Royals. In his downtime, he enjoys golfing with his 88-year-old father, making the most of family time on the green.
